After learning of my fall down the steps in a week where I was contemplating the Goddess Kali, a few people have asked - “what message” did I get from Kali. To find an answer, I sat in the place where I landed
~
Asking Kali, what happened, what is the message.
As I sat, I started picking up the beads, which had fell from the broken necklace, as a result of the fall, I heard a message.

This are parts of your life. I am not sure that gathering them together again is what I needed. Yet it is what I was called to do. I do see another ritual, this time more intentional to let them go.
Another interesting aspect of gathering the beads is, I instinctively used my non dominant hand. It was delicate maneuvering.

Today’s photo you see the beads gathered into my dominant hand. And the staircase from another perspective.

Also, as I sat at the bottom of the stairs, this time, my cat came by. He reminded me of the cat I had in my childhood. The era of the time when my whole family spent hours making beaded necklaces.
~
In remembering my childhood cate, I felt gratitude for that cat. To her I was special. She gave me what I needed most. She also taught me about connecting to animals.
~
My current cat is my “sensing hands” partner. For which I am also very grateful.

So what did I learn from Kali? Pieces of my life are falling away. Sometimes I get to honor that with ritual and other times with accidents.

Plus connecting with animals is a gift that came early in life.
